I don't understand how leftists can use slogans like "the conquest of bread" when poor people in the US have an obesity problem

@valleyforge The obesity problem is believed to be due to low quality foods (like bread) being the most accessible and cheap.
@swiley Bread isn't an inherently low quality food. Often people add sugar too it but people have been eating primarily bread for thousands of years and the obesity problem is new
