Oh nifty. Joplin seems to have auto-save now (probably had it for a while already, haven't checked in years). Might give this a try again, need a good note taking app.

@trinsec Depending on what exactly is the aspect you are looking for (platform, sync needs and note-taking style), you might want to check QOwnNotes/Obsidian (Linux) and/or Markor (Android). Recently I started to experiment with VSCode (Foam) for Markdown too. All feature auto-safe.

@FailForward NextCloud (self-hosted) & Web, Android, and preferably a Windows desktop version too. Markdown is fine, should be able to have images embedded too.

@trinsec I run effectively the same (ownCloud). Those above apps work very well for me: Markor (Android) + QOwnNotes on Desktop (Obsidian has some nicer plugins, like Mermaid integration, etc.)
