@OmegaVariant I'm just wondering what you think is the alternative.
@OmegaVariant the law (article says draft) is unimplementable without concentration camps, but that's not how vaccines work. It's not a magical potion of invulnerability, it's an arms race, the goal is to eradicate the virus before it can adapt. If a vaccinated person is repeatedly exposed to virus populations that are allowed to spread and mutate freely in people that are not so affected by it, one or the other mutation will inevitably stick.
@trinsec the covid vaccine should be a choice and not be forced upon. I believe in science and reason, but I don't see the need to vaccinate everyone along with their pets (Biden made a statement pushing for it). I do agree the 60+ and vulnerable would benefit from it greatly, but that does not apply to teenagers and people <40 (where there were not many death/hospitalisations)
The more govts, lobbied by big pharma, push for this the more we'll end up polarising people to be pro/against it. I'm neither, I do think it saves lives but it's still an experimantal drug (no long term studies). It's been around for less than a year. The MMR vaccine has been around for decades!
The more polarisation and discrimination there is, the closer we get to totalitarianism, in whatever new form it will take.
And the covid passports are copied from China. Soon we'll have a social credit score. And the list goes on. The KGB would get a stiffy looking at our situation.
