@zleap Personally I'm not really interested in having the weather forecast on Mastodon. But shouldn't you figure out a way to strip out the ANSI codes?
@trinsec There is a way to change the output yes.
My suggestion is more having a bot we can subscribe to in order to get weather if we wanted it.
@zleap Yeah, but my comment was purely about the ANSI codes. Good luck with your weather bot. ;)
@trinsec It is just a suggestion at the moment as it would need a server to run on.
@trinsec like this
Weather in Rzeszów => 7 °C - Wind => 4.92 m/s WSW - Humidity => 84 % - Pressure => 1006 hPa
using
ansiweather -a > weather
@zleap I get what you mean, but I've said this already: I'm not interested in the weather bot. My original comment was purely about the ANSI codes, so you don't really need to continue telling me all about this bot.
@trinsec :) I have just suggested a feature on the JoinFediverse.wiki forum
https://fediverse.town/
that does something similar to that, taking output from ansiweather for a specfic location so people can follow.
Sending output here is easy enough manually but I have asked if this cab be automated
