@kimura_cl Some people have reported the official App not working nicely with Qoto.

Qoto is running on a modified Mastodon instance with extra features added (check the About page to see more details).

As a result, some apps won't work nicely with Qoto, and most apps are made for default Mastodon meaning you'll lose out on those extra features.

I'd suggest to use the mobile web interface, and just pin the site to your home screen. The web interface is very very mobile friendly.

If you still would like to use an app, people have reported Tusky to be working fine enough with Qoto. The official apps gave quite a few problems as you can see now.

I want to add that **most** (though not all) apps do work just fine, though you cant access the extra featrures. There are just one or two apps out there with bugs in it that prevent it from working with instances like QOTO where it doesnt use default settings. Usually we are close enough to vanilla mastodon that most apps (and any app written correctly) will work just fine.

And, ironically, it seems to be the official Mastodon app that is the most problematic.

This is the first time I heard of the official mastodon app being a problem. But at least from this one users report it appears that might be the case.

Since they are getting a 404 I suspect the user just configured it wrong and the app might work just fine. They might have set the wrong domain for qoto.

Yeah, there have been a handful of other people wondering with the official app, why things won't work out well.

I always recommend either the web interface, or when still wanting an app, Tusky (or Fedilab) would be fine alternatives but without being able to use the extra features.
