Just a heads up that when you quote-toot others, they won't get notified of this, so they won't see your response. You'd have to mention them in your commentary.

Additionally, this is a Qoto-specific feature. There are some other servers supporting quote-toot, but default Mastodon does not.

@trinsec - thanks for the info. I did notice the repo trunks seem to have a whole set of different features. Really quoting should be a standard feature of the main code. I think there's much value in the added commentary.

@engineeringdad That's why it's added to this server. But then, this is a STEM-focused server where such a feature is so much more useful so it's not really surprising. :)
