OK I do not know what is going on with the @Mastodon android app right now, but I am going to have to turn off notifications because I am getting the same notifications over and over and over again. I've easily had 20 notifications for the same activity in the last five mins.

@slider7420 Maybe try another app? I've not heard good things about the official app in general.
Many people seem to be fairly happy with Tusky. Or you can try the mobile web interface and pin the site to the home screen. It's pretty mobile friendly.
@trinsec I actually use the website on pc more than the phone app, but for some reason it just started going crazy about half an hour ago.
