BTW I was reading Bill Bryson's travel novel about Europe. Chapter on Amsterdam is currently going on, he has very beautiful things to say about the Dutch :P

@mur2501 Neat, though I don't know much about Amsterdam. ;)

@mur2501 Heh, there's more than just Amsterdam. I'm like 2 hours away from Amsterdam. ;)

Well, for you that probably means like a small region away, for us that means half a country away. ;)

@mur2501 And as such I am barely if ever in Amsterdam. ;)

I've been there maybe.. uh.. 2 or 3 times in my life?

@trinsec
How many times have you been over to Germany?

@mur2501 A bit more often than to Amsterdam, that's for sure. 😂 Even if only just to pass.

@trinsec
What's the biggest difference between over there and your side of border

Follow

@mur2501 Mm, for me, some house building styles. Otherwise not too much. Just that they speak a weird language and are a bit more formal. 😜

@mur2501 Heh, except that's the English name for us. We're Nederlanders. Literally translated it should've been the Lowlanders. Every other country does call us their variation of 'Low lands' or 'Low country'.
