For some reason Vivaldi (the browser) and Minecraft (the game, naturally) can't play nice together. If one runs, the other crashes. 🤨

This is highly inconvenient. I might actually need to use Edge while playing Minecraft.

Mm, doubling my page file size seems to have helped. It was set at half my RAM, and is now upped to the same size. Vivaldi and Minecraft were having memory issues together even though I still had plenty of RAM available.

At least I seem to be able to use Vivaldi now while Minecrafting. *knocks on wood*

Hi @trinsec

Can't find a similar and weird issue reported in the :vivaldi_gray: Vivaldi Bug Tracker yet.

Can you please test with a clean (no extension, no settings change) new profile and if the crash is reproducible, feel free to report it and join a crash log.

@ramon Seems to be resolved, for now. The only hint I got from the error log of Minecraft was some memory shortage, even though I had enough RAM. So I checked the page file and upped it up. It seems to have helped. MC is running, and I'm typing this in Vivaldi.

@trinsec Interesting... I'm using Vivaldi and minecraft at same time, seems fine to me. Tried official launcher and Prism launcher.

For memory issues, you may try to adjust how many ram the minecraft's jvm should use. Someone suggest not bigger than 4G to save time on GC, but I find out 8G is fine, and 16GB is better (if you have a lot of mods)

@skyblond I use 8gig by default. Works fine. It's just that my pagefile was too small.
