Anyone able to help me out here with identifying this bug? I can't spend 10 minutes in my garden without having at least one waltzing over me. They're annoying just because there are so many of them! They're like, say, 5mm tall or so, not huge. The pic should show that clearly unless you really believe that those fingers belong to a giant. Location is in the Netherlands.

@mpk23 Neat, that gives me a search term I can do something with. I have zero clue about those bugs and I definitely have less clue about the English names too. :D

@mpk23 Looks like the Dutch name might be 'bladluis' (leaf lice), which surprises me. I thought they were way smaller than that. Like 2mm at most. Huh.

@osfast Die hele boom lijkt me gevuld met die groene krengen. Als die lieveheersbeestjes slim zijn gaan ze gewoon daarheen verhuizen. 😋

@trinsec meestal zijn er insectenliefhrbbers in de buurt. Zoals bijhouders. Die kun je vaak vragen
