It bothers me that mayo and sour cream are so similar yet come from such different ingredients.

@trinsec They're both white substances with similar consistencies and salty/umami flavors that need to be refrigerated. Not identical by any stretch, but when you can safely interchange them in most chip dip recipes, that's close enough for me.
