The EU recommends that if a member of your family expresses anti-party beliefs you should call the police.

@valleyforge i know that transatlantic criticism is en vogue, but where is it recommended in the video to call the police? it's in the fake plot they've build as case.

there are many things to criticize about the eu, but for the sake of it, criticize things that exist.

@bonifartius the video is discussing how the police can better help. The idea that the police should be called is part of their premise

@valleyforge how do you get from "discussing how the police, which is involved as the mother has called them, can better help" to "always call the police" is beyond me.

another thing: what party do you mean in anti party belief? the eu has quite a few different major parties of every flavor: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Table_

@bonifartius If the police say anything but "I can't do anything about someone's opinions" it's a problem. "Anti-party" is a reference to 1984.

@valleyforge ok, let's spin it like it's mentioned in the video, the girl gets radicalized by islamist extremists, does that count as opinion? the police does as much about thought-crime as in any other roughly democratic country, which is nearly nothing.

regardless the political wing, the important thing is that money is made. anyone getting in the way of the money is in trouble, just look how much police there is on political vs. anti-big-money demonstrations.

@bonifartius Are people not arrested for "hate speech"? Arresting people seems like doing something to me. As to your second point, I must not see the same anecdotes as you

@valleyforge yes, in some counties there are laws regarding agitation against minorities and regarding denial of the holocaust. neither applies to the girl. i don't particularly like those laws either, as they are counterproductive and the wrong tool imho (surprise, i have a qoto account ;).
classics like anti-nuclear-energy have more police presence than demonstrations of right parties. other cases like G20 protests can't be assigned a political side.
