Real median household income has fairly consistently gone up for awhile now. I think that people who are mad are mad mostly because of media sensationalism

@leyonhjelm @fristi This is assuming you know for sure that the person is not going to hurt you

@fristi He didn't just continue giving his speech after being shot. He stopped the crowd from attacking the attempted assassin before the police could arrest him. After the speech he went to the judge to argue that the man should be sent to a mental hospital instead of to jail.
TR was the best president.

@wjmaggos its dirty politics sure but calling it a grave injustice is hyperbolic

This could not be a funnier headline.

Youtube's ability to transmit video over low bandwidth is really impressive. I don't know if it's their compression or cdn or both.

Hey! We landed a ship on an asteroid that's going to return in a few years with samples. That's pretty great.

@wjmaggos Yeah I don't think anyone is arguing that Juliani is not using this to his maximum political advantage. He did recently give evidence over to delaware police who are investigating.

@wjmaggos clearly they didnt do anything about it because this was a year ago

In the section "Imagine a non-C processor"

"Caches are large, but their size isn't the only reason for their complexity. The cache coherency protocol is one of the hardest parts of a modern CPU to make both fast and correct. Most of the complexity involved comes from supporting a language in which data is expected to be both shared and mutable as a matter of course. Consider in contrast an Erlang-style abstract machine, where every object is either thread-local or immutable (Erlang has a simplification of even this, where there is only one mutable object per thread). A cache coherency protocol for such a system would have two cases: mutable or shared."
