Mother Jones is reporting that Elon, Taibbi, Bari Weiss, and everyone else involved in the Twitter files is doing this because they want to look at Hunter Biden's dick and to force you to look at Hunter Biden's dick, at the behest of Steve Bannon and some Chinese guy.

@voidabyss @7 I want to call it a Mirror Narrative. It turns a "Oh shit we got caught" situation into a he-said-she-said situation, turning any big loss into a break-even or a wash. Nevermind that one side has evidence, and the other has made-up-stuff. It's made out to be equally strong accusations in both directions.
The uninformed normies see this fog of war, and just side with their own party, and then it becomes a "partisan issue" that one side committed serious crimes and the other did not, and the "not overly political" stance is to just drop it.

It works on people that never scratch beneath the surface, which is a majority. The real problem is neolibs in both parties working together to keep a party with even a minority of reformists from taking power. See the FTX scandal and house/senate purse strings held back to choke off reformist candidates in their own party. It took more than just ballot harvesting to lose the senate this year.
They want to see how far they can push it before people give up on political solutions during what could be the next great depression. Loss of petrol dollar alone means inflation we can no longer offshore will hit harder and faster instead of unwinding.
