Federated timeline flows so fast. How to limit it with specific domains?

@volkan Just turn on the 'slow mode' in the settings, it'll help you keep your sanity.

@trinsec Thank you. It helps for now but anyway i want to know if there is a way to make timeline is more useful. I will look for how can i do that.

@volkan Well, the federated timeline is universally regarded as a cesspool of sorts.

You might want to block whole domains of instances you think you won't have any interest in.

You might want to check your settings for the language filters too to help weed out the foreign languages a bit from your feeds.

But the real action will eventually be your home timeline, and possibly the local timeline too if this is the kind of community you like.

@trinsec I don't have a repressive mindset so i choose the last option which is to add some communties into my favorite domains. So the next step is to find these communities. I am interested in technology, blockchain web apps, games, creative coding etc. I've found this source only for servers:

joinmastodon.org/servers

I wonder if any existing server is included in this list.

Let me dig more :)
