That's just not how the US system of government works.

They do it all the time as parties who believe themselves injured challenge the laws in court and appeal ultimately to the Supreme Court.
However, under #GOP control, #Republican #SCOTUS have begun unilaterally interceding and striking down laws either without an appeal being made to the court or in cases where no injured party is involved.

SCOTUS is an appeals court.
