2023 is the year in which we confirmed that the ultra-right-wing #Republican #SCOTUS are irrevocably compromised and corrupt. The #JusticeRoberts court exists solely to implement law and force policy for their filthy rich #GOP fascist benefactors as they install a Nazi style dictatorship and end American democracy.
So we got that going for us.

SCOTUS is an appeals court.

They do it all the time as parties who believe themselves injured challenge the laws in court and appeal ultimately to the Supreme Court.
However, under #GOP control, #Republican #SCOTUS have begun unilaterally interceding and striking down laws either without an appeal being made to the court or in cases where no injured party is involved.
