I think the most pressing and fundamental problem of the day is that people lack a practically effective means of sorting out questions of fact in the larger world. We can hardly begin to discuss ways of addressing reality if we can't agree what reality even is, after all.
The institutions that have served this role in the past have dropped the ball, so the next best solution is talking to each other, particularly to those who disagree, to sort out conflicting claims.
Unfortunately, far too many actively oppose this, leaving all opposing claims untested. It's very regressive.
So that's my hobby, striving to understanding the arguments of all sides at least because it's interesting to see how mythologies are formed but also because maybe through that process we can all have our beliefs tested.
But if nothing else, social media platforms like this are chances to vent frustrations that on so many issues both sides are obviously wrong ;)

Trump doesn't mean anything. He doesn't know anything he just gets on TV cameras. And then his own base can't agree on what any of it means, and that is the most important clue of all that he doesn't mean anything.

If you squint your eyes hard enough you can read some secret messages into his speech, so it's not what he did, it's what we imagine he did that we are attacking him for.

There's no conspiracy here, there's just Trump responding to the memes of his base, with other people profiting all the while. But he doesn't know what he's doing. He's too stupid.
He could incarcerate more people. But he's too stupid to do that too if he wanted to.
When we give Trump too much credit we end up excusing the folks that are actually doing this stuff, particularly congresspeople that we keep reelecting for some reason. It lets them off the hook. Let's not.

Set the norms that people categorize their own posts using hashtags and other people opt in or out based on the same tags.
The important question for everybody is, did they vote for the representative that is in Congress right now?
It doesn't even matter whether it's a Republican or a Democrat. The Democrats in Congress have decided to be worthless, have really chosen to go along with what's going on.
We have got to stop reelecting the same worthless representatives. And yet, so many people who are opposed to what's going on keep voting for the same people.
That's really the key.
Stop reelecting the congresspeople enabling this stuff, even the Democrats. Writing letters doesn't really matter if they know they're going to be reelected anyway.
Yes, I do think #Trump is stupid. The reason I think that is because we see him make unforced errors over and over as he loses otherwise obtainable goals, as we watch him shoot himself in the foot over and over throughout his record.
From him botching his own court case that led to his felony convictions through botching negotiations for peace deals through botching trade negotiations leading to responses that he definitely said wouldn't happen, the guy keeps messing up in ways that were obviously going to happen.
His record of making promises that he couldn't keep reflects a level of stupidity that is really quite striking.
