@ianmnoone @zleap @trainman Thanks for the clarification...
@ianmnoone @zleap @lednabwm So I should have said "most gods" are male. Thank you.
Why would any god(s) require a gender...
@lednabwm Perhaps gender is useful in depictions, statues, images, etc.
Well, that comment was well hung...🤣😂🤣😂
@trainman @ianmnoone @zleap @lednabwm
Gender is not a thing for a thing that is not.
@PetraPanda @trainman @ianmnoone @lednabwm
According to the Hacker manifesto, we exist without gender
@ianmnoone @lednabwm @trainman
Thanks for this, i find it fascinating even though I am not religious, it is good to be aware of cultural differences.
I have heard of Kali (oddly via Temple of doom film)
So a question on that, is the religion in that Hindu or Sikh?
@zleap @lednabwm @trainman ToD nominally depicts Hinduism, albeit an extremely lurid, bastardized version. Sikhism is a monotheistic religion, so in English they'll usually just say "God", and in Punjabi they may use honorifics analogous to "The Lord", "The Creator", etc. It's a religion specific to Punjabi ethnicity, though there are a number of white converts in the US.
@zleap @lednabwm OK, I'll put a checkmark in the Female Gods column. Thanks.
