A lot of people will be surprised when they give Kyle the guilty verdict or when the judge rules mistrial....

Elaborating: at first I thought was innocent given all the viral clips about witness accounts of events and from the prosecution doing such a bad job and while I still think the prosecutor is a piece of shit (commenting on Kyle's posts arrest silence for example trying to pin that as evidence of guilt) but if the drone footage shows Kyle pointing his weapon at the people that were next to rosenbaun and that's why he chased Kyle then I think this drastically weakens the "self defense" claim. In my eyes you don't get to point a gun at unarmed people unless they are coming at you in a menacing fashion or verbally threatening to physically hurt you or kill you. Idk. I don't know enough about this shit to comment properly but just calling it how I see it.

@zpartacoos Do you have a link to the footage you are talking about. The only drone footage I have seen doesnt show what your saying. In the drone footage I saw kyle was already running from his assailant and only turned and aimed and shot once the person attacking him was at close range.

If you have ffootage of him aiming the gun at him BEFORE being chased that could change things. I'd like to see it.

@freemo I *read* the following about the footage:

"Prosecutors say the video shows Rittenhouse raise his rifle at a couple who had been with Rosenbaum much of the night. That action, they say, provoked Rosenbaum to chase Rittenhouse, who shot the unarmed Rosenbaum four times after they had run across a car lot"

@zpartacoos Soooo... you changed your mind based on the words of the prosecution describing a video you didnt see? You dont think maybe the prosecutions interpritation is extremely bias and that you should take the time to watch the footage first rather than to just accept the words of the person who is legally obligated to be bias?

@freemo @zpartacoos this isn't the video they synthesized a frame from and then tried to pass it off in court is it

@icedquinn

Since he never actually viewed the video and has no link to this video who knows, could be... What I do know is arguing about a prosecutions summary of a video as if it is actually what happened in the video without watching it yourself sounds hell'a weak.

What I also know is ive watched every single video presented as far as I know and never saw any actual footage of him waving a gun around prior to being attacked.

@zpartacoos

@freemo @zpartacoos i never saw a clip of that either. i did see the prosecution claim it happened and their citation was computer generated and allegedly had the rifle in the wrong arm (prosecution didn't refute this, they choose to fail at facts with "guns don't have handedness" instead.)
@icedquinn @zpartacoos

I was watching the trial livestream when they played this footage, I couldn't see anything at all in it, but the viewing quality is probably better in the courtroom. Anyway, here are the 'enhanced' photos that are supposed to be the moment he shoulders goofy.
@icedquinn @zpartacoos just looking at these closely for the first time, his legs and hips are pretty squarely forward to the camera, but he's supposed to be aiming the rifle off to his right? Not impossible, but not likely that he wouldn't pivot his hips towards his point of aim. And is it just me, or does it seem like there's a dark shape underneath his left arm right where the rifle hangs when he's not holding it? :blobdetective:

@freemo @icedquinn @zpartacoos

The video he is referencing is the newly added drone video.

There’s a myriad of issues with it, but first and for most is that it’s basically impossible to tell (even with the interpolation they used to “enhance” it). Assuming he did point the gun, he would have done it left handed (he’s a right handed shooter with a right handed AR) with only one hand (the support hand in the still frame is clearly the mirror of the truck).

@freemo @icedquinn @zpartacoos

Given no one else saw this occur and is not seen anywhere in other video, it almost certainly didn’t happen.

There’s also the problem of the footage itself. Based on the resolution of the video, it seems it was ripped straight from the Fox News broadcast so the resolution might be non-native at the very least. Also the company that supposedly made it closed 17 days after the Fox News broadcast and denied having it to the Defense 🤷‍♂️.

@freemo well, I changed my mind based on the news of the "video" (now through reading this thread seems like its actually still images enhanced from a blurry video) which obviously is not valid + the fact that it's been 3 days and they haven't given a verdict. So, I wasn't making a statement about Kyle's guilt (or lack of it) but mainly that I don't think it would be taking this long if they thought he was innocent.

Also, that's why I prefaced my initial statement with *if* . Meaning if the claim about the video by prosecution == True => Kyle guilty + going jail. But as people are pointing out those still images from the videos are not exactly clear....So Kyle might be innocent but I still think he going to jail because of the lack of verdict at this time

@zpartacoos @freemo did you watch the video? he never raised the rifle at ziminsky, but ziminsky did fire a shot before kyle shot his rifle. The video you are posting a bias description of shows absolutely nothing because the quality is terrible. There is on the ground footage that is far more revealing about those few moments and that video clearly shows he never raised his rifle until pedophile Rosenbaum began to chase him.
