Derek Chauvin (The murderer of #GeorgeFloyd) has just officially been convicted of murder by the grand jury, finally justice!
@freemo I wonder what the sentence will be. Maybe 5 years?
@AmpBenzScientist Not possible, minimums entance is 12.5 years, maximum 40 years. so we know it will be within that range.
@freemo 1 year served and the rest as probation?
@AmpBenzScientist the minimum allowed in Minnesota is 2/3rds of the sentance in jail and 1/3rd parole/probation. So still going to be more than 5 years behind bars.

@AmpBenzScientist I dont think there is any choice in prison, its whatever serves the area as far as I know... But being a cop and one who is in for murder, I suspect he will be treated rather violently by inmates to the point he may need to serve most of his sentence in solitary confinement for his own protection.
@freemo the guards are probably going to treat him well. Cops can do no wrong. Occasionally a few are sacrificed to appease the masses but that's all that ever happens.
@AmpBenzScientist The guards will probably treat him well, but they can only do so much. Im not sure it will stop his ass from getting beat, but who knows, you could be right.
@freemo Nothing happened to the Agents who shot and killed women and children in the Branch Davidian incident.
@AmpBenzScientist A bit different considering they were killing minorities, and the branch davidian incident involved the police going up against actual armed individuals.. moreover the names of the police officers werent really as widely advertised as they were here.
@freemo Apparently flares set houses on fire. Gun fire keeps people from fleeing. They caught a bullet or were burned alive at the hands of Freedom. If police have firearms, the public needs to be armed too.
