@ThinkingSapien A company literally sued me over a bad Amazon review.
Yeah, they really are.
So I've got to ask, did you updated/delete your review?
@ThinkingSapien Hell no. It cost me $1000 to hire a lawyer in a state I don't even live in to file a request for summary dismissal, but I know it cost the seller more than that, and the review is still live, so I'm cool with it.
Also, when I initially received the legal threat letters (i.e. I hadn't been served yet), I wrote the response letters myself. They are popehat-level rants breaking down why their argument is full of shit and telling the seller's legal counsel he should be ashamed of himself for writing such thuggish and meritless threats.
I might need to dig that up and DM it to you. With your interest in 1A, you'd appreciate the content. 😆
Note 1: Seller reviews on Amazon *cannot* be edited and once removed, they *cannot* be restored, or rewritten. So, all the sellers have to do is scare the buyer into taking it down, even "temporarily", and they're good forever.
Note 2: I reached out to Amazon about this multiple times. I figured they'd want to know that one of their sellers was gaming both the legal system and their review system to screw over their customers. I was wrong. They did not give a shit.
Wow.
