That's why there will not be a 3rd party president. The way a 3rd party succeeds is through the destruction of one of the other two parties, and then you end up with two parties. That hasn't happened in 167 years. Till then you are stuck with two choices. Voting for a 3rd party is effectively a vote for the candidate that is least like the one you voted for.
