I embedded my latest toots in my static website, using the @fenwick67 tool, mastofeed at mastofeed.com (thanks!).
Looks pretty good to me, and it was really easy!

Also thanks to @freemo, who gave me the hint of having static websites to work with the . The idea you proposed of a more deep integration, with comments and all, that would be so awesome!

[deleted and redrafted, sorry, I do that a lot]

@arteteco @fenwick67 Thanks for the find, that was epic. I now just added it to my own blog, thanks. Also, I borrowed your design on the "more..." button, hope you don't mind. Love it!

@freemo @fenwick67 Looks pretty smooth, nice! Wonder if there is a way to show a fixed amount of toots... I see way more in your embedding than in mine, not sure why. Maybe 'cause you include the answers.

Could this be a good starting point for your project?

@arteteco @freemo It only fetches the first page of your Atom feed. The Atom feed has a fixed number of items (20?), which includes boosts and replies. So let's say you make 8 replies and 12 original posts... the replies will take up 8/20 slots in the atom feed and only 12 items will show up in Mastofeed if you have "hide replies" checked.

I have been tempted to add a "load more" button that can fetch the next page of the Atom feed, which is doable, but makes the whole thing more complex.

@fenwick67 @arteteco I have hide replies and hide boosts checked but it still seems to show both for me :(

@freemo @arteteco if the filters would cause it to show 1 or 0 items it just ignores them and shows everything

Thanks. I'll take a closer look and see if that is what is happening.
