@freemo Naw, no healthcare is a bitch. I mean, my glasses are subsidized by the government of my country. Because I need them. To see and function.

@Surasanji the healthcare companies in your country still make a profit, even more so since everyone is forced to buy it.. So I'd still say it counts as capitalism, unless you happen to live in a communist country.

@freemo To a certain point, sure. But what they can do and can't do is heavily regulated. Israeli's healthcare system is partially privatized and not 100% socialist. So the healthcare providers do, undoubtedly, make some profit but not as much as compared to any US Health Insurance Company (And I do mean per capita)

@freemo Indeed it is, but there are heavy enough socialist notes in this particular form of health care that I'm not sure you could safely call it "Capitalism".

Most of the money these companies in Israel make comes from the Government specifically, paid for by taxes from individuals and businesses.

@Surasanji socialism isnt mutually exclusive to capitalism. A socialism is just one form of capitalism. So while i would still call it capitalism i do agree that isnt as descriptive as saying it is a "socialist capitalism".. but we are in the semantic weeds at this point. We mostly agree I think.

@LWFlouisa @freemo I enjoy conversations with a hint of debate. :) It is a good way to get to know people.
