Ordinary person:
I beleive something -> I want to convince others -> let me find evidence to support what I believe -> shares only the evidence that supports what he believes
Scientist:
I theorize something -> let me find evidence to reveal the truth -> sees patterns in data and refines his beliefs -> shares unaltered information with others so they can draw their own conclusions.
@freemo Well, I guess it's good to be weird. I'm certainly no scientist.
@freemo I don't see a big issue with the scientists approach.
Them idea are often so complicated that the original person is not able to finish and prove it. You need other brains with different point of view to continue.
Anyway, your "ordinary person" approach is not real. Majority of the people just skip any proof before they start to convince others.
