From now on I will post all official QOTO updates through the @QOTO account. I will reboost all such updates from this account.
This is intended to make it easier for people who either want just announcements but not my normal toots, or people who want to hear my toots and no announcements. Basically if you dont want to hear announcements you can block @QOTO and then you wont see me boosting that account. Or you can unfollow me and follow @QOTO if you just want announcements. Up to you.
After this post that will be my policy moving forward.
@khird Thank you I agree 100% with you there! Freedom is important to me, and i want that to go as far as possible without it infringing on someone else's.
@freemo Nice. Not that I'll block either - I'm just in favour of techniques like this that give users more control over what content they want to see. Played a big role in me choosing this instance in the first place.
