What sort of advice could I offer? I can confirm that it puts one at a disadvantage since federation is determined by who follows you. So a single user server will often struggle to federate even if you have hundreds of followers (since a multi user server will have tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of collective followers)
I should also point out it is very typical for servers to auto-block single user servers since they suggest no internal moderation.

I agree with you, but it is what it is.. The fediverse vcan be kinda ban happy and its a full time job keeping ahead of that. As a moderator I need to constantly search the fediverse to find people who are tellings others to ban us and then interject to clear the air or even email admins preemptively to work with them and ensure we dont get banned.
