Its official, tomorrow i am diving the Blue Hole and doing the Archway. It is called "The worlds most dangerous dive" due to the huge number of people that died attempting it. That said, its not really a risky dive for a tech diver. The Archway is about 190 feet/ 60 meters down and provides a tunnel out to the open ocean. I'm going to try to record it.
@trinsec
Yea that circle is a hole with walls on all sides that goes down deep. Then there is a small tunnel at about 60 or 70 meters that connects it to the ocean.
@freemo So that circle is a DENT with walls on all sides that goes down deep. Then there is a small HOLE at about 60-70 meters depth that connects it to the ocean? Just making sure I understand.
@trinsec
Yup exactly. A pretty big dent but yes ;)
@freemo So it's almost underwater sort of spelunking you're going to do? Man, you gotta film that tunnel.
@paprika
Thanks
good luck!
and dont die
@selea
Don't tell me what to do!
@selea
Thanks
@404zzz
Thanks
@freemo
So, if we don't hear anything more from you here at least we'll know what happened, right?
@mc
Fair assumption ;)
@freemo cave diving was my fav part of Planet Earth! Recently met someone whose entire family is "speleologists", he was SO proud that his grandfather had died in a 'karst' accident
@mushambo I am a cave diver but because there is sunlight throughout the archway this wouldnt be considered a cave. It would probably be classified as a cavern.
@freemo A tunnel? With the archway you mean that broken piece of darkblue circle on the right?
