Interesting fact of the day:

During a supernova 99% of the gravitational energy (the energy binding the dying star together) is lost in the form of weakly interacting neutrinos.

and a supernova is not a cross between a 'super saiyan' and StarCraft's "Nova".

Also, although 'supernova' translates to 'super new'- does not actually intend to indicate new star.

That's what Tycho thought it was at the time he wrote the book which defined the name of them. :)

He was wrong, but science is a progression.

Neutrinos are not something i can interact with in real life, but fascinating.

@admitsWrongIfProven Great paper.. in fact it is theorized that neutrinos from a supernova may have caused some mass extinctions on earth.
