#Signal is way more secure than #Telegram.

But while Signal was not hacked AFAIK, there are a few issues:

1. The client is no longer fully open source: https://signal.org/blog/keeping-spam-off-signal/

2. The server was closed source for a long period which shoud raise eyebrows.

3. Their servers are hosted with PRISM-connected companies, allowing observers to analyze the traffic.

#Briar should be a better option IMHO.
