Hello there! For our first toot, allow us to introduce ourselves.

insideQuantum is a telling the human stories behind cutting-edge developments in , with the aim of highlighting the diverse range of people behind the amazing discoveries powering the .

Each episode features a different guest, chosen from a wide variety of backgrounds, jobs and career stages, including guests from both academia and industry. Over the course of a 30-40 minute chat we’ll hear all about their story, and how they got to where they are now. What got them interested in ? Where did they start, what has their journey so far been like, what advice do they have for others interested in getting into the field, and what do they think the future holds for quantum technologies?

What parts of our first season were your highlights, and why? 😃

So, you might be familiar with the idea of a 'conventional' artificial neural network, but what's a *neuromorphic* neural network? 🤔

Here's this week's guest Dr Stefanie Czischek (@sczischek) telling us about biologically inspired neural networks, and why they're so interesting!

For the full episode, check out your podcast app of choice or see the list of platforms on insidequantum.org!

The more visibility we get, the more chance we'll be able to keep this going and continue telling peoples' amazing stories. We need your support to continue this project!

In Episode 7, we talked to Ieva Čepaitė (@hyperboIeva) about what it'll take to make near-term quantum computing practical, and how we can make the most of different types of hardware for solving different problems.

We also chatted a bit about and science writing!
