@freemo I find your position reasonable and know that you help users who want to import an instance block list for their account, but I did wonder if it would be possible to add a reasonable instance block list to new QOTO accounts by default so that one could still follow one of the problematic instances but only by conscious action of removing it from the initial block list in your account.

If technically feasible, it seems like that might be a compromise position that might satisfy some critics while still accomplishing your goals of facilitating monitoring of bad actors.

@internic Yes! in fact something along those lines is something we are in the process of trying to develop. Ive been talking about it for a while, I'm trying to hire someone to help me code it so make sure it gets done since my time is a bit limited.

@freemo That makes sense. I would be willing to make a (monetary) contribution to that effort. Is there a good mechanism (e.g. a bounty) to do so?
