France should provide free condoms for people below 18yo as well to help manage child pregnancy

@amerika The cost of that is economically sustainable last time i checked
Only by skipping investment in the future. Rotting infrastructure, high debt, weak armies, etc. are the signs.
@amerika doubt
Everything seems in bad straits because all of the money is gone.
Where did it go?
3/4 into free stuff to citizens.
@amerika bullshit, france is giving out free condoms bcs of the raise in STDs
Less people with STDs -> Stronger economy
Not necessarily. Depends on who the people getting STDs are.
In the meantime, not giving out free condoms and not savaging the economy with high front-end costs would get you a stronger economy.
@amerika it's not high cost the gov can make those in economically-efficient way through sourcing latex and manufacturing them
They are going to buy from the lowest bidder then, when those fail, buy from the market leader (these may be rebranded to hide the cost to consumers).
Case study for comparison: COVID-19 masks.
Expanding on this...
"Freedom" means "duty."
The more we do for people, the less they do for themselves.
@kreyren
Higher prices make ordinary life difficult to afford. It's an endless cycle: more free stuff, more money needed.
