Anyone have recommendations for a strong, savory, delicious tea? I keep buying tea bags at HEB (local grocery store in Texas), and nothing tastes as fierce as coffee. Perhaps green tea with some turmeric has kick. I’ve about given up on strong tasting tea, unsatisfied with flavored water.

Thanks to all for sharing your insights about tea. I am looking forward to exploring these in more detail! That is, savoring them. πŸ˜€ 🍡 wakelet.com/wake/D5h7CvbVuW0Ck

@carolinerpitt This is a great website, Caroline! The SnowDay Blend looks amazing!

“Black tea with chocolate and hazelnut flavors, bits of cinnamon and chunks of dark chocolate make this tea our most popular winter and holiday blend! Try it with a splash of cream (or Bailey’s) for an extra lovely treat.” fridaytea.com/products/snow-da

@mguhlin Yerba mate or Roasted dandelion root would be my suggestions for strong, savory teas, with the same "kick" as coffee.

@mguhlin I make Chai - it’s great. Just boil some cloves, ginger, cinnamon stick, pepper, and black and green cardamom for 20 minutes or so, then add a couple of teabags to steep for as long as you like. Strain, and drink plain, or with milk and sugar, or even iced. Nice strong flavors - use fresh cloves and grind them - and really delicious hot with milk and sugar. I think you can buy it in teabags, too, if you want to avoid this drawn-out process!

This is the only green tea grade that meets what you're looking for. You don't need to buy from this vendor, it was just the only one I could find with a good graded picture.
