Fair. Obviously QOTO is STEM, so we arent limited to tech. In fact we probably have more people in the "S" category than the "TEM" category.
That said there are tons of nice knowledge based instances depending on what your after... for tech you have fosstodon which I think is pretty large.

I think you have to be a bit more precise. Most large science-related instances probably fit this criterium?
