I wish there was a way to subscribe to people's posts and not their retoots

@rastinza You can actually disable someone's retoots.

@rastinza I don't know about Fedilab, but in the web UI, you click on the three-dots menu and select “Hide boosts from X”.

But also would be nice to: open the profile of someone and you don't have to scroll half an hour before you find something they wrote themselves.
I'm not using RSS for mastodon, only for blogs

Reason I asked was that there is a 'subscribe' often next to the name in the timeline format - this probably doesn't help for your wish (which is about not seeing people's retoots / boosts in your feeds or notifications)
