Past few nights ive been eating about 500 grams of spinach with dinner and 250g skinless chicken... At this rate im gonna overdose on vitamin K...

@freemo Yum! I love spinach, especially when sprinkled with some nutmeg.

@shuttersparks never tried nutmeg on it.. doesnt sound particularly appealing but id give it a go, might surpise me.

@freemo Then it probably will surprise you. That's my secret to getting kids to eat spinach.

@shuttersparks I never really use nutmeg outside of sweets, but maybe im missing out

@freemo Hmm, nutmeg is critical in various things I make. I rarely use it in sweets except as a topping for egg nog.

For example, nutmeg is pure magic in an onion Bechamel sauce.

@shuttersparks I will have to play with it more.. I know from the past its a picky spice, if your eally taste it its too much and when it does work you dont recognize it as nutmet.. at least thats how it plays out for me.

@freemo Yeah. Nutmeg seems to act more as a flavor enhancer than adding a flavor of its own. But that's my own perception of it. I can sure tell when it's missing from something that should have it.
