@freemo do you think we could have the option of slowing down the federated time line so that stuff does not just whizz past ... they have it in some of the other instances ... just asking

What I do is hold down a post on the Federate feed by clicking on it's right side and resisting the UI trying to move it down with new posts. Eventually it senses what I mean, and it stays static.
I have also implemented a Language filter for my feeds, eliminating languages I do not read, like Japanese, Mandarin, etc.
Select only the ones you can read, at least partially. Leave all others blanked out. Save and you will have a lot less posts, specially in times of the day that the Asian users are actively posting.
