Thanks for this, i find it fascinating even though I am not religious, it is good to be aware of cultural differences.
I have heard of Kali (oddly via Temple of doom film)
So a question on that, is the religion in that Hindu or Sikh?
@zleap @lednabwm @trainman ToD nominally depicts Hinduism, albeit an extremely lurid, bastardized version. Sikhism is a monotheistic religion, so in English they'll usually just say "God", and in Punjabi they may use honorifics analogous to "The Lord", "The Creator", etc. It's a religion specific to Punjabi ethnicity, though there are a number of white converts in the US.
