Glad you said because recently (only after short time on here) I realise people say / post but don't say / post personally sometimes or that it's almost double speak (on both caring and not-so-caring ways) and then how people might want to speak but not listen / engage / come out of the 1-way system... which is my own thing now but I bring it here to say it's nice you clarified as there are even clever people with almost throw-away posts because you have to check which way they mean it and then filter their name or remember them (even in a nice way I asked some, invited more talk but they are just for the 1 way and more computers type of thing).
So thanks for saying overall and perhaps a potential design to put how serious or not a post and for me not to take it seriously (at all) sometimes(?) ! :)
@freeschool cool? yeah, I try to stay mindful of the medium and remember that not everyone reading my posts has a realistic or favorable model of how I am and communicate.
@2ck Metaculus says 50% within the year, and 25% within January. https://www.metaculus.com/questions/8898/russian-invasion-of-ukraine-before-2023/ https://www.metaculus.com/questions/9462/will-russia-invade-ukraine-this-month/
@2ck it already did in 2014 right after Olympic games. This year's Olympics take place 4-20th of Feb. The phrase "Olympic calm" exists because games gave ancient Greeks a chance to lay down the arms without appearing weak. More like "Calm before storm".
@Toxa You're suggesting there will be an incursion shortly after the Winter Olympics then
@Toxa I have to say that, sadly, you called it
also, I know this can come across as very crass: people live in these countries, and their fates aren't an idle game, but I'm asking because I *am* interested. What happens between these countries has an effect on what happens in mine, so it's a question that will have consequences in my life eventually.
