People seem to have this idea about evolution that it makes sense to think about a population of platonic "random organisms" that are acted on by "selection pressures" over their lifespans where the organisms essentially just receive *the environment* rather than also affecting the other types of organisms around them, co-evolving and mutually creating their environments, and/or changing their environs through movement such that choices of other conspecifics (let alone other species) generations earlier can change developmental conditions, and thus the relative importance of gene products, even beyond the point at which the earlier migratory behavior is conserved. That sort of "world held constant" simplification only possibly makes sense in Petri dishes, but it's outlined in that fashion when describing how real life complex organisms came to be thanks to evolution, making it a wonder there aren't more intelligent design proponents.
Now, to be clear, I'm not an intelligent design proponent: my point is that the theory outlined in popular communication about evolution that I routinely see is so woefully lacking in explanatory power, that it's a wonder anyone is satisfied by it. (And I mean in popular television, movies, and panels sat by smart people who should know better: there are some books targeted at the general public that begin to dig into the complexity and do pretty well.) Also, I know that there are a lot of good scientists, some whose work I've read, and some of whom I know, that *know* about these complexities and have discussed them at length, but I wish their ideas permeated more into the broader culture. If they did, I think we could be having much more interesting conversations about the world we live in and how we could make it better.

@2ck
I think I agree with both or everything that is happening in almost all ways (if I get it right mainly the 'just receiving' or the 'receiving also while a/effecting(?) others and their environment'
(?) a/effecting has slight difference but can be in same context ya
( just if it's important check meanings, no probs either way perhaps)
A lot of conversation can be like a viewpoint where the rest of things are not in their realm, authority or field of work, like a laboratory not calculating the way it's done or other factors that effects human culture of their own work or others work being done, just looking at end points or things as functional objects (maybe a bit of human attribute is given) but not the consideration from beginning that the full affect of affected humans are from the longing for the right affection from the right people fixing instead of fucking!
And remember anything outside matrices of measurement can be against their own system of doing things and since they are member or under an authority etc, it's going to be seen as opposite-doing to way things are done (in the hash tags you mention as far as I can hear from talking to anyone like this)... so not looking at broader culture as much as it's not part of their job spec... and as you said, some know (A LOT AND NO NEED TELL THEM) but nothing they do has system support in the design for these things so you get into discussions even at the end you might conclude systemic ways are just very limited, deliberately and as part of industrial process or industrial / state funding... and conclude those bosses are really not caring about what you said (unless it would fund more money or find something they could 'use'/abuse.... So probably (or historically) I think this is the case. All that other stuff is 'BS' not business. dL: They know, for sure they know.
People / scientists do know better. There is a standard phenomenon for this kind of thing, not sure now what it's called, but call it a job where you do what is set and assume with good faith or lack of choice / support that it's good reason that cut out the thinking of all that. It messes (works on solving) too much with the rest of life that is interlinked I believe but ends up encroaching in those other people's fields and their bosses :L)
