#RenewableEnergy is the future - our farm has 10kw of solar panels and 30kw of battery storage. For kicks, I'm teaching myself to be a #Blacksmith and tinkering with a Series 2a #ClassicLandrover.

@mikegalsworthy Federation members agree to a common set of standards for their instance e.g. no racism, no hate speach etc. #UFoI represent about 5% of the Fediverse I believe. Mostly smaller instances, membership growing fast it seems in response to a desire for admins to demonstrate they meet a common baseline standard.

I follow a set of hash tags related to renewable energy (rather than trying to find specific people) and that pulls in lots of interesting discussions into my feed. You can move the tags into a specific list, if you want to keep you feed free tidy.😀

@hasmis @engineeringdad - thank you for the feedback as @engineeringdad says the best engineers are the ones who think things can be done better! It's work in progress. I'd probably have it mounted on casters ideally but I need to weld up a base frame. I still think he's done a great job thinking round the issue, coming up with and constructing an innovative solution to industrial battery portability - he's still school age.
@engineeringdad @hasmis - continuing the theme of next generation of genius #engineers... Manufacturer of large lithium batteries: "must be mounted on a non combustible surface e.g. a wall". Me: "tbh if one of those was on fire I'd want to get it out of the building pretty darn quick". Eldest son: "well how about I make a frame to hold the batteries and mount that on a pallet then". #ProudDad 😍
