@ivesen I mean is it part of your prompt, or is it a program name/command ... or perhaps just a pet :)

@freemo But they all sound like thesis and dissertation titles :) I am intimidated to even open one of them for discussion :)

@freemo I keep looking at the existing topics and hear myself saying "Alex, I'll take stuff I know kcuf-all about for $200" :) So I figured I would recognize it when it showed up. :D

@freemo So the next thing was the discourse topic. I was waiting for you to post the puzzle/solution and was going to add this to that discussion.

@freemo okay, not the little thingie is spinning :) You wouldn't think it would take any time at all, but I assume it has to undo all the double pushing that I did :)

@freemo Don't see a "Repository" under settings anywhere :(

@freemo I don't see where the setting is. I just cloned it over there. I had to get a token from github and all that. But I just don't see where I could pull or anything else.

@Jennifer_Lee @freemo @Surasanji @JessSweetValleyHigh@spinster.xyz @alex

I have asked once politely to be removed from this reply chain. This is the second request. I have added some white space to the top of the message in case the first was perhaps missed.

Please remove me from the list in the contact chain for this thread.

@JessSweetValleyHigh@spinster.xyz @freemo @Jennifer_Lee @Surasanji @alex Pardon me, may I please be removed from the contact chain on this particular thread? It seems rather specific and I don't feel I have anything to offer to the conversation.

@freemo awesome. I figured I must have done something wrong.

@freemo So on another topic. I got that python checked into my personal github and I also put it in the qoto gitlab as well. I have found no way other than manually to synch them up when I have made a change. Though I think I am done making changes. Did you want to put this somewhere? I think we were discussion starting a discourse topic on the puzzle itself.

@freemo yeah, I get it. It just looks like a huge tmux session on my buddy's screen and if I wanted that I would simply do that :)

@freemo my friend at work showed me his "configuration" tweaks to make his windows open in reasonable sizes and shapes (including the gui ones) and that is what I didn't feel I wanted to have to deal with. (It was a really long list. ) Anyway, I really need to simply pair with or work closely side by side with someone that has bought into the concept and see if it fits. For now, not so much. :)

@freemo At some point I may have to dig into this. But for now, I normally work on multiple monitors but usually in full screen. So it just may not fit my particular workflows. I will look at it again sometime.

@freemo I think it works best with "text" based applications. But if most of the applications you run are GUI with optimal sizes and such there is a bit of tweaking to make things right. If I were living in the text mode world, I would likely focus on tmux or screen and just live like that inside one single maximized terminal window.

@socjuswiz @alex Thanks, I am reading quite a bit. Not to make light, but seems to me that no one seems to like anyone else. That is a situation that can only benefit the opposition.

I do get the resistance to be lumped together with some other group that seems to be riding the coattails of one's accomplishments. But I kind of remember late 60's and early 70's where the lesbians didn't care to be associated with the (male homosexuals) ....

How can anyone look at the issues of LGBTQIA as a force for change and summarily dismiss pieces of it they don't care to agree with. That is rhetorical, not worth a response. I am aware that the issue is outside of that alphabet soup and into 3WF or RF which does not necessarily overlap the LQBTQIA community unless you accept Catharine Mackinnon's concepts that for all intents and purposes seem to force the feminist movement into the lesbian world by default.

@freemo Okay, so you are yet another tiling wm user. I work with one guy that has bought into that concept as well. However, I just don't see the benefit. What is the benefit, and how does it outweigh the massive amount of tweaking required?
