Always funny to see Americans generalise Europe as a whole, as if it was another united states. Pick any two random European countries and they will have bigger cultural, historical and language differences than the US, Canada and Mexico have between them. Asking someone about their opinion on Europe is like asking them about their opinion on Earth.
Twitter was a clusterfuck well before Elon
"Twitter didn't monitor employee computers at all, it was not uncommon for employees to install spyware on work devices"
"Twitter does not have separate development, test, staging, and production environments. At least 5,000 employees had privileged access to production systems"
"In 2020, Twitter had security incidents serious enough they had to be reported to the federal government on an almost weekly basis."
Someone really needs to build some sort of logarithmic volume filter into linux... a way to keep the normal volume scenes loud enough to hear but reduce the volume on the loud scenes. This way you can listen to a movie in the middle of the night and not annoy your neighbors and not need to keep lowering it everytime an action scene hits.... how is this not a thing already!
#StopVoringMe joining #UFOI, slandering @freemo, getting #UFOI on #Fediblock, leaving #UFOI and then getting mad that his instance is on #Fediblock despite no evidence of any activity worthy of being included on the list is exactly why freemo made #UFOI in the first place.
The #UFOI is certainly not the best system in the world, but the idea is great. Unfortunately, creating a good-faith system to compete with a bad-faith system is gonna be hard when the bad-faith system is incredibly popular and already notorious for ostracizing anything that disagrees with or contradicts it.
