I just updated all my apps available at #fdroid: #TinyWeatherForecastGermany , #imagepipe and #feinstaubwidget ..

All now have a monochrome app icon layer to support app icon theming on devices with an api level of 33 or higher.

Furthermore, #TinyWeatherForecastGermany got some bugs fixed that were related to the layout of the compact weather widget.

Fingers crossed that #fdroid will build them all successfully.

Time for this week's #Linux and #OpenSource news video!

In this one, #Nvidia plans to use their open source drivers as the default, we have more details about @system76 Cosmic Desktop,a nasty attack vector that can bypass your #VPN without you knowing, plus #Valve contributing to Nvidia drivers now!

@AmpBenzScientist You started to get some interest in the 1980s around the turn of the millennium, but it took a while for it to really take off. Go back a decade and you didn't have stuff like vaporwave or Kung Fury.

@AmpBenzScientist The 90s are closer a pop culture renaissance than the 00s. The 90s are very overdue for one. A-teens from 1998 was a revival of ABBA, who had their first major hit in 1974. It's often in 20- or 30-year cycles.

@AmpBenzScientist I feel that it's starting to come to computers a bit. People are actually collecting beige boxes now. Computers once considered ugly.

Remember your chemicals and yeast for the riot season in case of lockdowns and shipment of goods getting blocked.

@thor There where arcades with really amazing games. House of the Dead, Area 51 and San Francisco Rush were a lot of fun. Playing Tekken while two hormone charged teens were having a good time in a dimly lit arcade. Brightly colored candy that was very expensive and tasted terrible. Apparently the candy was illegal too.

They were truly magical times.

@Fishwaldo I bought a microsd to JTAG adapter years ago. They should still be available for cheap.

I don't think this was limited to the D1.

Bought another Milk-V Duo S for Apache RTOS Release Testing ... Something strangely satisfying about NuttX on RISC-V: We finished the port in only 10 days! 👍

GATech investigated for selling DoD research to the Chinese.

Oh my, look at the time.

@jarkko @lupyuen It's a dual core 64 bit RISC-V MCU that is surprisingly powerful for what it is. It's also a pain to deal with.

Perhaps Maix is the best way to get into one. I have the Stick V version and the Stamp I think it is called.

In terms of power, I think an NES Emulator was written for it. I believe the RV64GC is an older version than what was standardized on. It's weird and was my first experience with RISC V.

@thor I agree. Gen Z is better prepared for the world that exists.

I sorta agree with Gen Z for the most part. Not 100% percent, but I mean, my generation kinda sucks, and some change is needed.
