@thor I have a friend who got a job with explosives and it is quite possible that I will be doing something similar soon.

@AmpBenzScientist For a full time permanent position at a school here, some kind of degree is needed. I'd have to finish high school and go to college first. Not sure how you'd get a teaching job with no prior experience in teaching and a 4-year NEET gap in my resume. It's probably a good idea for me to receive job coaching right now in any case. I don't really want to be without a job for another 4-5 years just to get some kind of degree.

@thendrix The one the government has been setting on and certainly not altering?

@thor Can you be a teacher at a school? I think you would be a good teacher if it's STEM.

@lupyuen Nice post, was enough to remind me to install #LocalAI.

Currently building on my #debian based.

What the hell?? This is so creepy.

@thendrix OMG, I remember reading about that after looking into PowerPC. It sounds like a nightmare to write code for.

PowerPC should have stuck around for a few more generations.

I started doing graphics on framebuffer. My favorite era was proto-compute shaders with PS3 CELL SPUs. Few people at the time understood what was happening and where it was going.

Minor arch changes aren’t so interesting to me, and they don’t even matter for that long.

@thor Touch grass sounds like a very ungrounded thing to say. What type of grass? Why not touch a deciduous tall thing that uses capillary action in a more impressive way?

@thendrix Ever had to deal with VLIW hardware like AMD's preGCN architecture? Is it using the built-in shader cores or is that even a thing anymore?

To know the root of the problem is to understand how many bandaids have been applied.

@thor I think the USA still relies on dialup in some areas. We have a group called the FCC.
