@AmpBenzScientist i was thinking more along the lines of "basket case"
@AmpBenzScientist it's a bit like how you somehow can't make a movie unless you buy a fancy camera first. you can't just point a phone at people and tell them to act. 🤷♂️
@AmpBenzScientist @pfpoitras would you have any idea of how to filter very fine particles out of water? i use paper to get rid of most of the filler but there's a fine mist of it that clouds the water. passes straight through all paper filters i've tried, and the particles are light enough that they don't fall to the bottom of the container.
@AmpBenzScientist that's the one i had in mind i think. sounds like it depends on evaporation.
@AmpBenzScientist @pfpoitras it's alkaline so that's to be expected. i mix with fruit syrup and i have to add a lot more than with just pure water to get something palatable. the citric acid in the fruit and the alkaline caffeine counteract each other, i think.
the Apollo program is often justified with the inventions it lead to. but, you know, we probably could've done all of that stuff without the rockets. if we had just wanted to. but we don't bother with inventing cool stuff unless it's for war. a whole lot of clever stuff was also invented because somebody wanted to get laid. such noble motives...
