I settled on Metatext, at least for iPad after trying a few options.
@Baley Stunning!
Until you start addressing the reason behind this, corporate/pharmaceutical profits, you're not going to get anywhere. There's an extremely profitable situation right now for some people and they're not going to let go of that unless forced.
I have a son who, let's just say, is reaching the age where he's interested in girls. I've spent a lot of time thinking about how you even help him navigate all of the new complexities of all of this. Wild world we live in.
I can't even read "CDC" or "Walensky" without a blood pressure spike anymore. None of this needed to happen, honestly.
This is all really gross. To think I have naively read a lot of these people without realizing they had this in them.
The likely outcome here is to lower it a hair and bask in the media coverage of how magnanimous they are, right?
It's truly devastating. I'm just happy that my wife and I have two healthy kids who are old enough to understand COVID. I'd be terrified to be 10 or 20 years younger and attempting to start a family today.

I've found the same and I'm hoping they come around. I've attempted to engage a couple of them by @ them in other things that they discuss to see if they'll engage. No luck so far, but I'm not giving up yet.
Mash that follow button and if you find you don't like what you get, use filters, mute or unfollow. All of those options exist. I think it's an adjustment for all of those of us new to Mastodon.
Agreed. Much of my perspective on this has come from having a wife who's a public school science teacher. The teaching metrics are all "can we cram all of these kids into college" and the frank discussion needs to be more about finding the right place in society for everyone.
When you deal with thousands of teenagers the honest starting point should be that not everyone is going to go practice medicine and launch rockets into space and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. The grocery store needs cashiers, too, and we all need electricians and plumbers from time to time.
I boosted what I thought was a really good list yesterday or the day before only to now find out there doesn't seem to be a good way to find things you boosted again unless you favorited them, too. I'll figure this out eventually!

Preventing reinfections still needs to be a priority. People contracting COVID multiple times a year, forever, can't be the way forward.
Mental illness and Content Warnings
Thank you for the reminder for everyone. I am not good at remembering this or alt text, but I keep trying to be better about it.
I've learned a lot from her over the last couple of years. People get so bent out of shape so easily anymore and immediately go to the craziest conclusions.
She doesn't want to share her content with you right now. Get over it people.
Spot on. Watching COVID play out made this all so clear to me.
This was my progression over the last week or so, too. For the first time I didn't even check that other one today.
Duck is *always* the right answer for Thanksgiving. Enjoy yours!
This has been painfully obvious, you can't really get more obvious than saying it out loud over and over, but yet never seems to be a topic of conversation amongst all of the "gas and groceries prices" crowd. Outside of @mehdihasan is it ever even brought up in the news cycle?
@Kate @TRyanGregory@mstdn.science
It's a mystery!
I usually open up these articles, search for "COVID" and if the search doesn't find it then it's not a serious article and doesn't warrant my time.
Moved full time to my other account @BE soon as this instance is still having issues.
