@XenoPhage I'm going to break All The Things!
@geekgrrl @corsairmo can't stop; won't stop!
@corsairmo I love breaking things and good documentation; I'm just starting to learn the systems so that I can plan out our automation strategy and start building tooling but in the meantime I'm breaking things manually.
This one required a screen capture because it's so weird. :-D
@dreadpir8robots thank you for such kind words. I appreciate you.
It's been awhile since I reminded you that I love you.
I love you.
Thank you for being here with me.

“In #Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment and counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”
Make sure everyone understands this — It’s costing us far too much to NOT provide housing and supports to those who are homeless.
@TechGirlMN @hamster yikes.
I'll bet you remember to turn it off and unplug it first next time you do maintenance on it.
Without seeing how it was shorted out there's not much I can offer in terms of suggestions.
3D printers are pain, though.
@TechGirlMN @hamster What broke? How bad is it? (Also: what kind of printer; what mods?)
@_L1vY_ I grew up in a deeply religious and conservative home; the older I get the further Left my politics go as I realize more and more how unnecessary the struggles I and others endure(d) are/were.
@joeycastillo impressive!
@jasoncoon @adafruit Ooooohhhh.... Cephalopod!!
First project of the new year!
The parts finally came in for a prototype touch-sensitive Kraken.
I'm using an @adafruit Feather M0 Express with SAMD21 and #FastLED to drive the #RGBLEDs.
Next I'll work on better touch animations, having the touch points trigger a pulse that travels down the touched tentacle then out the rest of them. 🦑🐙
@ExplodingLemur The struggle is REAL.
@bradanlane I fall into that trap as well.
The before/after on this rework took it from "kinda messy but functional" to "oh wow; that looks nice" so I'm pretty happy with it.
It seems like it takes me a couple of tries to get a PCB laid out in an elegant solution.
Getting better with practice though.
